Coal Mine Disaster Dynamics and Control Laboratory - Choosing Us Dream Voyage - Constantly Recruiting Domestic and Foreign Talents Reopened in 1935, the School of Metallurgy at Chongqing University is one of the earliest metallurgical disciplines in national universities. In 1978, it was established as the Institute of Mining Engineering Physics. In 2000, it was approved to establish the Key Laboratory of Southwest Resource Development and Environmental Disaster Prevention by the Ministry of Education. In 2007, the Department of Mine Engineering was recognized as a National Key Discipline. In 2011, the Coal Mine Disaster Dynamics and Control Laboratory was approved for construction by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and passed two evaluations in 2013 and 2018. The laboratory focuses on four research directions: coal mine disaster dynamics, intelligent early warning and control of mine disasters, environmental hazards and ecological dynamics in mines, and safe and efficient exploitation of coal, natural gas, and shale gas.
